I hope I am not one of the people who judged you on the move. If you look at my blog's (career related) posts, youll see that I feel the same. Chasing money is a definite recipe for sadfailure. One spends more than 50% of your life at work, so it has to be enjoyable. Programming is not for everyone, I enjoy it on a hobby level, and after 2 years I still don't know if it's a real career...
